Every summer, the Nevada City Film Festival (NCFF) makes art into a party, bringing an audience of movie lovers together with emerging and top independent filmmakers to showcase award-winning short/feature-length films from around the world.
The 25th annual edition kicks off June 20th, and runs through the 22nd at the beautiful, historical Nevada Theatre and the jewel box art house theatre, the Onyx, with a remarkable program of over 60 films which cross genres, borders, languages — and even the cosmos — revealing the humor, heartache, wonder, and beauty of the human experience. From unforgettable characters to faraway places, each story invites us into new worlds and fresh perspectives. Expect breathtaking visuals, powerful performances, and truly inspiring examples of independent filmmaking at its best.
