The movie follows a group of high school girls who decide to throw a slumber party while their parents are away. As the night unfolds, their fun is interrupted by an escaped mental patient armed with a power drill, who begins stalking the women. The screenplay, written by Rita Mae Brown, was intended as a spoof of Halloween and films like it. The result is a movie that combines traditional horror elements with satirical undertones, offering a unique take on the slasher genre of the 1980s.
